Hawaii gas prices ticked upward slightly in most areas over the past week, according to AAA Hawaii.

As of Thursday, the statewide average price for regular was $4.48, which was one cent higher than last week and 15 cents lower than this time last year. The average national price was $3.20. The average price for gas in Kahului was $4.49 while the price in Honolulu was $4.39.

“Oil prices are remaining low and there is lower overall demand for gasoline as we near the end of the year, so those factors may help put downward pressure on gas prices in the final months of 2025,” said Liane Sumida, general manager of AAA Hawaii.
