Nominations are being sought to honor outstanding invasive species prevention efforts within Maui County.

Since 2003, the annual Malama i ka Aina Award has gone to landscapers, plant providers and commercial and agricultural property owners and managers who demonstrate a dedication to keeping invasive species out of Maui County.

The winner will be announced in coordination with the Arbor Day Garden Expo on Nov. 8 at the Maui Nui Botanical Gardens.
