All Maui County offices, as well as many facilities and services, will be closed or operate on modified hours for New Year’s Day.

County closures include all county offices and pools, the Lahaina Resource Center at Lahaina Gateway, the Recovery Permit Center at the Maui County Service Center in Kahului, Kako’o Maui Relief & Aid Services Center at Maui Mall Village in Kahului (Hoʻokumu Hou applications), the Hana, Molokai and Lanai landfills and the Olowalu Recycling & Refuse Convenience Center.

The Central Maui Landfill and Maui EKO Compost will operate on condensed hours from 6 a.m. to noon. Residential trash pickup and the Maui Bus schedule will not be affected.

Regular business hours for county offices and services will resume Jan. 2.
