Continued water conservation urged for South Maui

The County of Maui Department of Water Supply continues to urge all South Maui customers to conserve water today, Friday, April 3, 2026, as crews work to repair a mainline break.

Despite earlier conservation requests, water usage remains high, and storage tank levels are declining rapidly.

All customers — including residents, visitors, hotels and condominium properties — are asked to limit nonessential water use. Continued conservation is essential to help maintain water availability for critical needs and to support restoration of normal service.

Work has been ongoing since early this morning and will continue throughout the day as crews work to repair the break as quickly and safely as possible. Conservation has been requested from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Starting at $4.62/week.
