County opens applications for Makahiki Grant Program

The Maui County Office of Economic Development, in partnership with the Maui County Department of ʻŌiwi Resources, has opened the application period for its fiscal year 2027 Makahiki Grant Program. Waterline work to affect Makawao Avenue traffic, water service

A scheduled waterline repair project will result in overnight partial road closures and possible water service interruptions on Makawao Avenue between Baldwin Avenue and Makani Road from June 21-24. The work is scheduled from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. on June 21-22, June 22-23 and June 23-24. During construction, the road will be limited to local traffic only.
