Pukalani man arrested after alleged burglary also accused of assaulting officers
A 43-year-old Pukalani man who was arrested Friday is accused of breaking into a Wailuku building, threatening officers, driving a vehicle toward them and later assaulting officers during his arrest. According to police, officers responded to a report of a burglary in progress at about 5:04 a.m. at 2080 Vineyard St., where the man had allegedly forced his way through an exterior door and kicked interior doors inside the building. Primary voting by mail starts today
Ballots were mailed to Maui County registered voters Thursday, the Maui County Office of the County Clerk announced. The County Clerk’s office said once mail-in voters make their selection, they should be sure to insert their ballot into the yellow secrecy sleeve and into the postage-paid return envelope. Be sure to sign the outside of your ballot envelope. Voters should mail their ballots with enough time for them to be received no later than 7 p.m. on Aug. 8, 2026.
