Ballots were mailed to Maui County registered voters Thursday, the Maui County Office of the County Clerk announced. The County Clerk’s office said once mail-in voters make their selection, they should be sure to insert their ballot into the yellow secrecy sleeve and into the postage-paid return envelope. Be sure to sign the outside of your ballot envelope. Voters should mail their ballots with enough time for them to be received no later than 7 p.m. on Aug. 8, 2026. ATLANTA — Federal health officials have identified lettuce from Mexico served at Taco Bell locations across five U.S. states as a source of a widespread outbreak of diarrhea-causing parasite cyclospora.
