Janet Y. Goo, 89
Janet Goo, 89, of Waihee, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on July 17, 2016, at Hale Makua, Kahului. She was born on May 16, 1927, in Wailuku, Maui. Janet was a retired billing clerk for the Maui Medical Group in Wailuku.
She is survived by her husband, Willie; son, William Lorrin (Amy) Goo; daughters, Joni (Craig) Kawamura, and Charlene (Neil) Yashiro; 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Janet also leaves a sister Sumiko (Richard) Nagamine and numerous nieces and nephews.
Janet enjoyed gardening in her spare time. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, spoiling her grandchildren and also, her precious great-grandchildren. She was kind, thoughtful, caring, and often put others’ needs before her own.
Her family would like to express their appreciation to the Hale Makua Day Health Staff, therapists, the Activities Department, as well as the Gardenia and North Neighborhoods for the special care extended to her.
A private celebration of Janet’s life was held. Her family requests no monetary gifts, please.
