Satoru Kakihara, 91, of Kahului, passed away on July 16, 2016, at Hale Makua Kahului, Maui, Hawaii. He was born on May 24, 1925, in Haiku, Maui.

Mr. Kakihara retired with the State of Hawaii. He is survived by his wife, Julia Kakihara; Son, Brian (Jiiwoo) Kakihara; Daughters, Jane (Daniel) Takahashi, Ione (Rowan) Chong; Brothers, Teruo Kakihara, Tommy (Paddy) Kakihara; Sister, Patsy (Paul) Hasegawa; Grandchildren, Rylan Chong, Jon Takahashi, Chaysen Chong, Kelsie Chong.
