Larry Shoichi Yamamoto, 77, of Lahaina, Maui, passed away on July 31, 2016 surrounded by his loving family, under the care of Islands Hospice. Private services will be held at a later date.
Nakamura Mortuary is assisting with arrangements.
Larry was born on July 25, 1939 to George & Marian Yamamoto. Upon graduating, Larry served in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed fishing, diving, traveling and talking story with friends and family. He will be fondly remembered as a gentleman who was always willing to help others, kindhearted and good natured.
Mr. Yamamoto is predeceased by his parents George S. & Marian H. Yamamoto; his brother, George H. Yamamoto. He is survived by his wife, Diana Yamamoto; brothers, Raymond (Donna) Yamamoto, Wallace (Cynthia) Yamamoto; sister-in-law, Frances Yamamoto; his Hanai dad, Takuji Sarashina; and 9 treasured nieces and nephews.
