Donald Bartholomew

His love of aviation began early, learning to fly at 14. After spending 7 years on submarines in the Navy, he became a pilot for Bonanza Airlines, where he met his wife Dianne. Several years later he transitioned to Air Traffic Control and the family moved to Maui, where he remained at the Maui Tower until his retirement.

He is survived by his wife Dianne, two sons David (Lynn) and Danny (Tanya), daughter Deanne (Lloyd) Komoda. Five Grandchildren, Grant, Monique, Dylan, Hunter and Kiana. Three Great grandchildren, Ekaha, Awe and Meadow.

He was a long time member of Ala Lani United Methodist Church. A private service will be held at Makawao Veterans Cemetary.
