Alfred Souza
Alfred Rudolph Souza, 91, better known as Rudy, passed away peacefully at his bedside at Hale Makua Kahului on June 8, 2024. He was born to Alfred Rodrigues Souza and Chieno Nogami Souza, on March 16, 1933.
Rudy was educated at Maui High School in Hamakuapoko and Maui Vocational School in Kahului.
Prior to his retirement, Rudy was employed at Baldwin High School as its auditorium's audio visual technician, a job he held dear to his heart for years.
He was once Baldwin's track coach, then later became the girls softball team coach where he competed successfully at the state level.
Rudy is survived by his loving wife, Christine (Barcoma) Souza; son Alfred R. Souza, Jr., hanai daughter April Moniz, daughter-in-law Liza Souza, and his 3 grandchildren Ronin, Rylee and Rigan. Also his siblings, Gertrude Aguirre, Bernadette Fria, and Peggy Ann Souza.
He is predeceased by his parents, son Ryan Souza, sister Ora Latham and brother Kenneth Souza.
Service to be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Christ the King Church in Kahului.
Family Visitation at 8:30; Public Visitation 9:00 to 11:00; Mass 11:00.
