Steven Hoyt
Steven Allen Hoyt, 72, of Makawao, Maui passed away on May 14th, 2024 at Maui Memorial Medical Center with his wife and daughter by his side. “We are all stories in the end, remembered by the adventures we had, the achievements we made, and the people we loved. My story was a good one!”
Steve was born on August 28th, 1951, alongside his twin sister Diane, to Doris and William (Ron) Hoyt, joining his older brother Butch. His mother later married Larry Morris and his father later married Sally Hoyt, adding 4 additional step sisters and brother to his family. Steve was a college graduate, a successful drywall contractor, an avid surfer, and a life long beach lover. The loves of his life were his wife of 43 years, Bobbie Hoyt, his daughter Ronnie Hoyt-Crisafulli, and his two grandsons Noah Crisafulli and Maximus Dimas.
His most favorite place on earth was his beloved Baldwin Beach. A place that brought him pure peace and happiness. The ocean called to him daily, and he always listened!
The Hoyt ohana wishes to extend their gratitude to the ICU staff at Maui Memorial Medical Center for their compassionate care. Services will be held on Friday, June 7th, 2024 at Ballard Family Mortuary- 440 Ala Makani St. Kahului, Maui, HI 96732 from 5:00pm to 6:30pm, with a reception to follow. Scattering of ashes at a later date.
