Wenzel Kauanoe Arcangel
Wenzel Kauanoe Arcangel, 66, peacefully met our lord on October 10, 2024. He was born on September 28th, 1958, in his beloved Lahaina, Maui. He was a dedicated loving husband to his wife, Emily Kaniho Arcangel, and six girls, Yvette (Wade) Kitagawa, Leianna (Nickholas) Webb, Lisa (Pippa) Arcangel, Makanani (Preston) Kapu, Kauanoe (Hector) Guzman and Asti (Analu) Arcangel the most precious were his grandchildren, Lauren, Hunter, Lexi (Kitagawa), Kauila (Mederios) Laakea', Alaula, Noweo, Konane, Kuena (Webb), Michaelah (Vasquez) Kainoa, Kingston, Gianna (Kapu), Damian, Daxton (Guzman) and our newest great-granddaughter Luccia. He also loved his constant companions, his service dogs Makana, Kei and Kai who helped him so much through his medical treatments. He survived by his brother Stacey (Suzie) Arcangel and was predeceased by parents Bendenito Arcangel and Fanny Viola Levi Kaiaokamalie, brothers, Ben Leroy, Ian, and Allan and sisters, Bernadette (Bernie) Arcangel and Orilee (Bertha) Biho.
He was an avid fisherman, loved music, playing the ukulele, guitar, piano and “box”, Golf too was his favorite activity. But his yard was his ultimate Paradise, growing, thriving plants everywhere, blessed by his past years at the Hyatt Regency Maui as their landscape Asst. Director. He loved his crew at the Westin Kaanapali Ocean Villas as their Lead Engineer. All of his past and present coworkers, a part of our Ohana forever. He touched so many lives, his kindness to All, service (8 years Army/Korrea), compassion (lifetime member of Maria Lanakila Catholic Church/baptized/altar boy/schooled/choir) community (coaching, fundraising, organizing) Family, Ohana, Friends near and far.
Please come and Celebrate Wenzel's Life with Us on Saturday, January 18th, 2025, at Canoe Beach next to the Hyatt at 11am Service. Pa'ina (food, beverages, pupus, desserts and entertainment) to follow to talk story, hug and reminisce on this Wonderful Man that we call Husband, Dad, Papa, Ohana, Friend, Boss, Cuz, Uncle, Brother and Buddy.
