Lillian “Lulu” Harue King

February 10th, 1952 – November 29th, 2024

Lillian “Lulu” Harue King, 72, of Lahaina, passed away peacefully on November 29th, 2024, under the compassionate care of Hospice Maui and loving ‘ohana by her side.

Celebration of Life honoring Mrs. Lulu King will take place on Saturday, November 29th 2025, at Wahikuli Beach Park, with services beginning at 10:00am.

Mrs. Lulu King was born on February 10th 1952, in Lahaina, HI, to the late Mr. Tetsuyuki “Captain” Nakamoto & Mrs. Harumi Harada Nakamoto.

Lulu was raised in Lahaina, attended Lahainaluna High School, and excelled in all academics.

Lulu was always adorned in her beautiful mu’umu’u since young. With just her presence, she always made her friends, family and First Hawaiian Bank clients smile and feel loved and cared for. Lulu's kind & beautiful spirit, generosity, and compassion touched the lives of many. When she wasn't working, she enjoyed crafting, reading, baking, fishing, shopping and much more.

Lulu is survived by her husband, (Captain) Mark Peter King.

Lulu leaves to cherish her memory, son, Isaac (Nat) King; brothers, Gerald T. Nakamoto and late Tim T. Nakamoto; Aunty, Hanako (Ransom) Randall; grandchild, Kaila Ompoy-King. She is also survived by many aunties, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and in-laws of the Nakamoto and King ‘Ohana.
