Rosita Bachiller passed away on August 2nd, 2023 at Maui Memorial Hospital. She was born on Aug. 20,1932, to Teofilo and Demetria (Asibal) Gonzales in Paia, Maui, Hawaii. She attended Farrington High School. In 1959, Rosita met and married Benie Bachiller, the son of Thomas and Ramona (Millare) Bachiller, in Honolulu, HI. Together, they have three children, including step children from Benie’s previous relationship. Greg was a landscaper for many decades, working at tree trimming, excavation, irrigation, horticulture, and garden design. He loved working outdoors and had many friends in the business. Jerry Shoichi Matsumoto of Wailuku, Maui, passed away in Honolulu on September 1, 2023. He was born on Dec. 25, 1937 to Shoji and Kikuyo Matsumoto in Paia, Maui. He is survived by his daughter, Debbie Han and son-in-law, Kenneth Han; and his grandchildren, Canaan and Cassie Han. He is predeceased by parents Shoji and Kikuyo Matsumoto and wife Doreen Matsumoto. Private funeral service to be held.

Yoshie Shoji, 98

Yoshie Shoji passed away peacefully on July 27, 2023 in Kahului, Maui. She was born in Puunene, Maui to Kazuto and Natsu Ogata. She was predeceased by her husband, Tadao Shoji, as well as by her 6 brothers and sisters. She is survived by nieces and nephews.
