Rocky Iwamura, of Lahaina, Maui, passed away on June 15, 2023 at Hale Makua Kahului under the care of Hospice Maui. He was born on October 4, 1926 in Lahaina. A private service was held. Rocky is survived by his wife, Sumiko Iwamura; son, Nathan (Claire) Iwamura; and grandson, Vincent Iwamura. Susumu Takemoto, of Makawao, Maui died peacefully at his home on Wednesday, May 31, 2023. Susumu was employed with Maui Land & Pineapple after serving in the Army during WWII. He retired in 1988 and lived a hard working and quiet life until his passing. Barbara Jean Eberly, of Kahului, Maui, passed away on April 23, 2023 at Maui Hospice Hale surrounded by her children. Barbara was born on July 4, 1944 in Honolulu. She spent over 35 years in the restaurant industry, ending as Restaurant Manager of Columbia Inn until its eventual closing. After moving to Maui in 2000, she worked at Aloha Airlines. In retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her family and socializing with her friends.
