Noboru Fujisawa, of Makawao, Maui passed away on January 14, 2023 at his residence surrounded by his family and under the care of Islands Hospice. He was born on December 03, 1934 in Kaumana, Hilo to the late Toyoki and Tomie Fujisawa. A master carpenter by trade and an avid golfer. Noboru also enjoyed cooking, watching animal programs, and raising orchids. The family wishes to thank Islands Hospice and Pukalani Superette for their unconditional love and support. Louis “Baba” Kauila Houpo, of Waihe’e, Maui, entered the gates of Heaven on Wednesday, January 18, 2023. He was born on March 14, 1959 at Maui Memorial Hospital to Thomas and Mary Houpo of Waihe’e, Maui. He was a 1977 graduate of H.P. Baldwin High School. After high school, Louis enlisted with the Army active duty and when he returned to Maui, he joined the Hawai’i Army National Guard where he retired.
