Rosario Dumalanta Advincula of Lahaina passed away on May 26, 2022 at Hospice Maui. She was born on October 30, 1936 in Naguilian, Isabela. Rosario retired as a housekeeper at Royal Lahaina after many years of service. She is survived by her husband Jose, Sr.; sons Rolando (Florence), Juan (Do-minga) and Jose, Jr. (Irene); and grandchildren Marissa, Jamie Rosario, Matthew John, David Paul, Fara Lei, Daren Paul, Reanna Lei, Max Joren and Kainoa. Earl Toshio “Axle” Shimizu, of Kahului, passed away peacefully at his residence on May 29, 2022. Earl was born on December 26, 1946. He was the second son of Manabu and Alice Shimizu (both deceased) of Kula. Earl was a race car fanatic and often participated in the races at the Puunene Drag Strip. He loved to golf and socialize with his fellow golfers at the Maui Country Club. He also was an avid gardener and “Green Thumb” as evident of his immaculate yards.
