Amy (Hew) Chow, of Lahaina, Maui passed away on March 7, 2022 in northern California with family by her side. She was born in 1941 to Shoon Tet Hew and Annie Akiona. She was born and raised in Lahaina and graduated from Lahainaluna High School in 1959. Amy later attended Winona College in Minnesota where she earned a bachelor’s degree in education and later worked as a foreign language teacher. Shizuko “Tommy” Kohama, born Jan. 2, 1928 to Jenichi and Hisayo Kohama of Kahului, passed away on March 1, 2022. She worked for Kahului Railroad Co. and retired from McCabe, Hamilton, Renny Co. and Y Hata on Maui. Gilbert Takamura, passed away on February 15, 2021 at his home. He was born on May 29, 1945 in Wailuku. Gilbert was a loving husband, father, grand-father, brother, uncle and friend.
