Helen Leon-Guerrero, 94, of Kahului, Maui passed away on July 2, 2021. She was born in Ewa, Oahu to Tokuji and Oriyo Shibata on January 19, 1927. Predeceased by her husband Nicolas M. Leon-Guerrero. She is survived by her daughter Anna Leon- Guerrero and son-in-law Brian Sullivan. Helen lived a full and impactful life. She will be fondly remembered for her sharp mind, her sense of humor, her ability to reach people in a deep and positive way, and her faith in Jehovah God. Virgilio Tumpap Sr., of Lahaina, Maui, passed away peacefully at home at the age of 76 on June 9, 2021. He was born in Ilocos Norte, Philippines on May 22, 1945. His beginnings in Hawaii started in Honolulu, O’ahu before growing his family in Hanama’ulu, Kaua’i and later settling in Honolua and Mahinahi-na in West Maui where he would raise his family.
