Gordon Bruce Tavares (86) of Kahului, Maui, passed away on March 27, 2021, with his family at his side. Gordon was born on October 16, 1934, to Louis Tavares Jr. and Matilda Milare Tavares in Hilo, Hawai’i. As a young man, Gordon served in the US Marines and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was also a former employee at Love’s Bakery (O’ahu) and the Maui Price Hotel before retirement. Gordon is predeceased by his brothers Richard and Donald, son Vernon, and daughter Candace. Glenn “Tapat” Norito Watanabe was born in Paia, Maui on September 7, 1948, and raised in Puunene, Maui. Glenn passed away peacefully on April 9, 2021, in Kahului, Maui. Glenn was an avid sports fan, from following professional leagues to supporting our local teams. More so, he loved to talk story and his day job was to get you to smile or better, laugh.
