Mae Omuro, 85, of Wailuku, Maui passed away on September 4, 2020, at her home surrounded by her children. Mae was born in Pu‘unene, Maui, to Harold and Teruko Fujimoto. She was a 1953 graduate of H.P. Baldwin High School and attended Wisconsin University. She also earned an MEd from Indiana State Teachers College. Mae worked for the State DOE for 34 years and was a dedicated teacher who was encouraging, caring, and always striving for excellence. Richard Lei Kaaihue, 84, of Kihei and formerly of Napili, passed away on December 18, 2020 at his home. He was born on March 17, 1936 in Lahaina. Richard worked as a weather technician for Maui Land and Pine. He is survived by his niece and caretaker, JoAnn DeLima; brother, Joseph Kaaihue of Waimanalo; sisters, Louisa K. Artates of Pukalani, and Evelyn Haunani Farias of Honolulu; and nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Jan Apo for his support and compassionate care of Richard. Martha Ann Cockett, 93, of Wailuku, passed on November 22, 2020. Services will be held at Nakamura Mortuary on Tuesday, December 22, 2020.
