Jane Noriko Agawa, 78, of Lahaina passed away peacefully at her home on Friday May 17, 2019. She was born on April 7 1941 to Masaru and Hinayo Okamura.  She is predeceased by her husband, Alvin and is survived by her sons Kyle and Shayne (Mariben) and grandchildren Bronson & Alia. Jane was a quiet, caring and devoted woman who had a passion for linedancing and hula. She was also an active member of the Lahaina Hongwanji Mission and Honolua Senior Citizens Club. Katherine M. Abreu, 84 of Makawao was called home to heaven on May 1, 2019. Born to Antone P. Martins and Virginia P. Jacintho on May 3, 1934 in Puunene, Maui. Katherine is predeceased by her husband Nelson A. Abreu. She survived by her daughters, Jocelyn (Gerald) Perreira and Janice Eisler; sons, Eric N. Abreu and Rodney M. Abreu; 5 grandchildren and 6 great- grandchildren. Services will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at St. Joseph Church in Makawao. Rida Paz Baria, 72, passed away peacefully on Mother's Day, May 12th with her daughter at her side in Reno, NV. She was born, Caridad Pacis Paz, on July 30th, 1946 in Bantay, Ilocos Sur Philippines. She immigrated from the Philippines to Hawaii in the 70s after leaving her government work in Bantay. Here in Hawaii she primarily worked in the hotel industry, however she officially retired from the TSA as one of the first security agents to be installed after the 9/11 attacks. Erwin Mark Helekahi was born on July 19th, 1954. He passed away on May 10th, 2019 at Maui Memorial Medical Center. Erwin was born and raised in Hana, Maui and graduated from Lahainaluna High School as a State Champion Wrestler.
