William Emil Lindstrom, 93 Nov. 5, 1925 – March 15, 2019

William Lindstrom, age 93, died at his home in Pukalani on March 15. The first of five children, his early years were spent in the coal-mining town of Johnstown, PA and the steel city of Pittsburgh. He was a 20-year Army veteran, director of Maui Community College’s Library Learning Resource Center, and two-term mayor of Pleasant Hill, Tennessee, a small rural town in Cumberland County. Bill enjoyed the outdoors and physical activity. He completed seven marathons after age 40, hiked and backpacked until age 70, bicycled 50 miles in a bile rally at 75, and enjoyed RV camping till 80. ...
