Dorothy T. Almeida, 97 of Olinda passed away on September 7, 2017. She was born in Haiku, Maui. Dorothy worked for many years at Libby Pineapple Cannery in Pauwela and later retired from Kula Hospital. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Joseph Church in Makawao on Saturday, October 7, 2017 with visitation from 9:00am-11:00am. Haruo Arisumi, 90, of Lahaina passed away peacefully on August 14, 2017 at his residence. Services honoring Mr. Arisumi were held privately. Haruo was born on April 16, 1917 in Lahaina to Kanichi & Shino Arisumi. After graduating from Lahainaluna High School in 1935, Haruo proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps. Upon his return, Haruo began working at the Pioneer Mill, where he retired after many years of service.
