Visitation will be held from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday, June 23, 2017, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kahului Stake Center; service will begin at 10:00 a.m.; burial will follow, 12:30 p.m., at Valley Isle Memorial Park Cemetery in Haiku. Adrienne Yachiyo Ogata Miyake Masuda, 87, of Kahului, passed away on May 13, 2017 under the care of Islands Hospice. She was born on November 16, 1929 in Puunene, Maui. Private services were held. Adrienne was a retired school teacher from Wailuku Elementary. She was a member of Wai-Kahu Business & Professional Women’s Club, the Alpha Delta Kappa, and she volunteered at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center. James W.S. Shipe, 79, of Lahaina, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2017 under the compassionate care of Hospice Maui and his loving family.
