Masao Fukuda, 93, of Kahului, passed away peacefully under the compassionate care of Islands Hospice on April 17, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. Services honoring Mr. Fukuda were held privately. Nakamura Mortuary is assisting with arrangements. Masao was born on January 5, 1924 in Paia to Toyonoshin & Riyo Fukuda. He was the 4th of 7 children. Masao graduated from Maui High School with the class of 1942, and shortly after, married his love, Michiko Koshiro. Virginia “Ginny” Lawson, 93 of Lahaina, Maui passed away May 1, 2017. Ginny was born in Lincoln, Nebraska and moved to Maui in 1964. She was part owner of Super Whale Children’s Boutique in Lahaina from 1966 to 1999. Ginny is survived by her daughters, Leslie (Adam) Quinn and Lisa (Lynn “Moley”) Hoffman. Helen Hanako Ogata, 89, of Kahului, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2017, with her loving family by her side. Chidori Sherri Yoshimoto, 86 of Wailuku, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2017 at Roselani Place in Kahului with her family at her side. She was born on January 17, 1931 in Hilo, Hawaii. She retired as a Registered Nurse from Maui Memorial Hospital in 1996.
