Roy Naopuu, 73, of Kula, passed away on February 7, 2017 at Kula Hospital. He was born on June 20, 1943 in Haiku, Maui. A celebration of his life will be held at 10 a.m. on Sunday, March 5, 2017, at Maliko Bay, scattering of his ashes at sea will follow. Family requests loose flowers and ti-leaf leis only. Roy was a truck driver and worked for a construction company. He is survived by brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews, and his Kula family of 30 years. Denice R. Pakele, 44 of Haiku, Maui passed away on February 17, 2017 at her residences under the care of her loving family and Maui Hospice. She was born on February 20, 1972 in Honolulu. Visitations will be held on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at Ballard Family Mortuary Kahului from 5:00pm to 6:00pm; with service to begin at 6:00pm. Nobuo “Dyke” Tengan, 89, of Wailuku passed away peacefully on February 8, 2017 at Maui Memorial Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family. Services honoring Mr. Tengan were held privately.
