Frances Fortunata “Atang” Arcilla Sevilla, born October 14, 1928, in Pepe’ekeo, Hawai’i passed away on December 21, 2016 at Hale Makua Kahului. Frances was the daughter of the late Theresa and Pedro Arcilla, who were from respectively, Cebu and Ormok in the Visayas, Philippines.  The Arcilla family moved to Hamakuapoko, Maui, when Frances was three years old.  She attended Maui High School in “H-poko,” but her education was interrupted by WWII.  She later attended Maui Vocational School and earned her GED from the Department of Education, Adult Education ...

Yoshie Tsuida Higuchi, 98, of Kahului, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. Services honoring Mrs. Higuchi were held privately.
