My girlfriend came back from a trip to California knowing she tested positive for COVID-19. She boarded an airplane, told the screeners on Maui that she didn’t pre-test, and was told to just go home and stay there for 10 days.

No one advised her to check in on the Safe Travels app daily, no one called to make sure she was staying home, no contact at all!

To make matters more troubling, she took two more tests three days apart when she returned, still tested positive, and no one called her at that point to make sure she was quarantining or to trace her contacts!

There is something very wrong with our local COVID monitoring system. If she got through our system, how many others have done the same?!
