A Close-up look at Maui County's High School Athletes presented by Alexander & Baldwin, Inc.

• H.P. Baldwin High School

• Grade: 12 / GPA: 4.25

• Sports: Bowling, Track & Field

• Future Plans: I plan on continuing my education. I don’t know where just yet but I want to study Mental Health. I would love to continue sports. I like being active because it keeps me busy plus I would just be doing it for fun. Not competitively.

• Sports Lessons: I enjoy the environment I am in as an athlete. You are able to be yourself and express who you are doing what you want to do. You also get to meet so much cool people and make new friends or form stronger bonds.

Being an athlete has taught me to be true to myself and to not be so hard on myself when I fail or just do bad on one or multiple things. I learned that the harder I work the more I accomplish and I can still enjoy my life. Being an athlete helped me realize that things happen and things come and go and all you can do is keep moving forward.

* Sports Spotlight students are selected by school administrators and athletic officials from Maui County high schools and these profiles are compiled by the advertising department of The Maui News. Alexander & Baldwin makes a $200 donation in honor of each student athlete to their high school’s athletic fund. Each school year, 84 students are recognized.

Starting at $4.62/week.
