Lunas use balanced attack to beat Warriors 19-7

Tara Zamani, Eden Kanekoa and Zhi Clark each scored four goals to lead a balanced attack in Lahainaluna High School’s 19-7 victory over Kamehameha Maui on Thursday at Sakamoto Pool in Wailuku.
Jordan Gomez chipped in three goals for the Lunas, who improved to 7-0 in the Maui Interscholastic League girls water polo season. Also scoring for Lahainaluna were Sasha Rico, Alissa Skolnick, Noelle Storer and Cora Gruber.
Ella Weber had three goals and Jordan Holokai-Jacinto scored two to lead the Warriors (2-4).
In the second game Thursday, Mikela DeAguiar netted seven goals to lead Baldwin to a 12-5 win over King Kekaulike.
Kylee Takeda scored three goals and Jade Brown two as the Bears (6-1) celebrated Senior Night.
Na Alii (1-6) got three goals from Lily Barrett.
