Avery Kirkham recorded 19 kills, nine aces and 19 digs, and Lauren Brown had 14 kills to lead the Maui Preparatory Academy girls volleyball team to a 25-7, 21-25, 25-8, 25-15 victory over Lanai in Lanai City on Friday night.

Ashley Davis dished out 34 assists to go with two kills and two aces for Na Pueo, who improved to 7-2 in Maui Interscholastic League play. Sofia Mallari added five kills, four digs and an ace, and Kelsey Reul had 19 digs and three aces.

The Pine Lasses fell to 3-6.

Over at “The Barn” in Hoolehua, Molokai upped its record to 6-3 with a four-set win of its own, 16-25, 26-24, 25-14, 25-12 over Haleakala Waldorf (5-4).
