Parking information for Lunas-Bears game
The Maui News
General parking for the sold-out Maui Interscholastic League football game between Lahainaluna and Baldwin high schools this weekend will be held at the Lahaina Civic Center.
Tickets for Saturday’s game — the Lunas’ homecoming and their first of the season at their on-campus Sue Cooley Stadium — have sold out, Lahainaluna athletic director Jonathan Conrad said in a news release Thursday that also outlined parking information and other game-day info.
Parking on campus for the game will be through parking passes only. Those who have a handicap placard assigned will be able to park on campus.
Gates will not open until 3 p.m. and there will be no parking on Lahainaluna Road. Spectators are asked to be respectful to the residents in the Kelawea Mauka neighborhood.
Parking for the game will be behind the Lahaina Civic Center with shuttle buses to the stadium. Spectators are asked to have tickets available at the LCC — only ticket holders will be able to get on the bus.
The shuttle bus routes will start at 3:20 p.m. and run throughout the evening. The last shuttle will run from the stadium back to the LCC at 10:15 p.m.
In accordance with MIL rules, no outside food or coolers are allowed. There will be concessions provided by Leilani’s at the game.
The game will be live-streamed on the NFHS network of the National Federation of State High School Associations (subscription fee required). Visit nfhsnetwork.com for more information.
