Farmers run record to 9-0 with victory over Dragons

The Molokai High School baseball team beat Hana 15-4 on Friday in Kahului behind a combined two-hitter on the mound.
Kobra Cariaga-Abafo entered in the first inning for the Farmers after three runs scored for the Dragons with no outs. Kian Toledo had a stellar finish, going the last 4 2/3 innings, allowing one run and one hit while striking out eight to pick up the win as Molokai upped its Maui Interscholastic League record to 9-0.
Cariaga-Abafo, Kilinahe Puhi, Clarence Tanabe and Mason Habon all had two hits for the Farmers and combined to score six runs and knock in two.
Hana fell to 0-9.
In Lanai City, Seabury Hall (7-2) finished a 5-4 win over Lanai (2-7) on Friday in the completion of a game previously suspended and then scored three times in the ninth inning to complete a two-game sweep of the Pine Lads with a 6-3, nine-inning victory.
Murray Brown, Asher Halik and Kayden Volner combined on a seven-hitter on the mound for the Spartans, with Volner picking up the win with two scoreless innings in the full game Friday.
