Future Plans: I plan to continue my education on the East Coast. Although I know I will be homesick and miss my family. I feel it’s important to step outside of my comfort zone and experience a new culture to learn how things operate in a different environment. In college, I plan to major in business administration — more specifically, marketing.
Sports Lessons: What I enjoy most about being an athlete is the camaraderie built not only with my teammates but with other athletes as well. Whether they represent my school or our competitors, there’s a shared understanding and connection that can’t be fully understood by someone who isn’t an athlete. Being an athlete has taught me the importance of discipline and a strong work ethic. These qualities have extended beyond sports and have shaped every phase of my life. Through both the joy of winning and the humility that comes with losing, I learned valuable lessons about perseverance, resilience and personal growth. My experience and the challenges I’ve faced as an athlete have prepared me for my journey ahead, and I am forever grateful for everything sports has taught me.
