DOE: No change to graduation guidance as COVID cases rise

As COVID-19 cases continue to rise in the state and in public schools, in-person graduation guidelines have not changed, Hawaii’s top education official indicated on Wednesday. The Maui News Molokai Middle School, one of many Hawaii public schools that’s seen an increase in COVID-19 cases in recent weeks, has pivoted to distance learning this week. In the last four weeks, Lanai’s COVID-19 cases have gone from single digits to double digits each week amid an ongoing surge on the Pine Isle, a county official said.
