Maui County Council Member Mike Molina, who is running for Maui County mayor, will hold a free campaign event from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. May 3 at Binhi at Ani at 780 Onehee St. in Kahului. The West Maui Taxpayers Association will host a “Candidates Night” on July 21 prior to the Aug. 13 primary elections, the organization announced Tuesday. The event will start with a meet-and-greet at 4 p.m. in the social hall of the Lahaina Civic Center, followed by the meeting at 5 p.m. The association plans to have the event livestreamed on Zoom and Akaku cable TV. A peaceful protest caravan and rally in support of President Donald Trump will be held Saturday in South and West Maui. The event will start at 1 p.m. on Kapili Street near the fire station in Wailea and will end with sign-waving at the Lahaina Cannery Mall around 4 p.m. Participants will be decorating their vehicles in support of Trump.
