Micronesian Cultural Day event Nov. 15

Iao United Church of Christ will host a Micronesian Culture Day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 15 with the celebration including worship, food, music and dancing.The event will open with a worship service and feature presentations of stories, songs and dances of the people of Kosrae, the Marshall Islands, Chuuk, Pohnpei and Yap and their history, culture and traditional practices.The Maui Kosrae Etawi, Maui Marshallese Ministry, the Chuukese Christian Ministry of Maui, UCC Pohnpei Maui and the Yapese Fellowship will participate. 'Trunk or Treat' event today in KiheiWaipuna Chapel will host a "Trunk or Treat" event from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. today as a "fun and safe way to celebrate Halloween."During the event, children go from trunk to trunk in the chapel parking lot.
