Letter: Dog victim of irresponsible Lahaina hit-and-run driver

Last night, around or near the Puamana area, my son’s dog was hit by a motor vehicle and subsequently died. This unfortunate incident was a motor vehicle hit-and-run. I would like everyone who drives on these highways and streets to be aware that could have been you or your loved ones. Last night, it happened to be a dog (no less traumatic nor heartbreaking). Deion Sanders is a great coach. The only thing I really didn’t like about him was his favoritism for his son. Football is a team sport and everyone is equal even the players who sit on the bench. All year long, coach Prime is always talking about his son. I am a local real estate broker and property owner. I am writing in response to the article last Thursday on homelessness, which mentioned Gov. Josh Green’s eviction moratorium as a measure aimed at preventing homelessness. In truth, this law is exacerbating the problem. Is there a particular reason the government is inflicting so much pain? Why are people not back in houses?
