Janet S. Wakayama, 90, of Kahului, passed away peacefully at Hale Makua (Kahului) on December 13, 2020. She was born and raised in Haiku, Maui and attended Haiku School and then later attended Maui High School (Class of 1948). After high school she attended Maui Technical School for two years where she graduated with a certificate in dressmaking. She married her late husband, Shigeo, in June of 1953. Mae Omuro, 85, of Wailuku, Maui passed away on September 4, 2020, at her home surrounded by her children. Mae was born in Pu‘unene, Maui, to Harold and Teruko Fujimoto. She was a 1953 graduate of H.P. Baldwin High School and attended Wisconsin University. She also earned an MEd from Indiana State Teachers College. Richard worked as a weather technician for Maui Land and Pine. He is survived by his niece and caretaker, JoAnn DeLima; brother, Joseph Kaaihue of Waimanalo; sisters, Louisa K.
