Abraham “Papa” Aki, 72 of Wailuku, passed away at home on July 26, 2017 under the care of his family and Hospice Maui. Abraham was a Jack of all trades and a master of many however, his greatest accomplishments in life were that as a Diesel Mechanic/Heavy Equipment Operator and a Professional Bass Player with his last group, The Samoan Subway in Florida where they were the highest paid group around. He invented the first Cherry Picker machine and later designed the first Fretless Bass Guitars. Abraham is survived by his wife, Sandra L. Aki, Children: Magdalena Aki, Lahela Iulio, ...
