Stanley Masayoshi Miyabara, 80, of Kahului, passed away at home on January 2, 2017.  Family services were held on Oahu.  Please, no koden or flowers. Nakamura Mortuary assisted with arrangements. Ruth Emiko Nishida, 86, wife of the late James T. Nishida, daughter of Sakae and Tsuneyo Takemoto, born July 2, 1930, of Puunene, went home to be with the lord on December 4, 2016. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Kathy Raikes, age 53, after a courageous battle with depression. Kathy grew up in Kelowna, BC with her 3 sisters and brother. Her life changed direction when she married Harry and moved to Maui the very next month where they have lived for the last 29 years and raised 3 wonderful children, Andrew, Daniel, and Emily.
