Edward Y. Chang, Jr. passed away peacefully on February 26, 2026, in Makena, Maui. He was born on February 29, 1932, to Edward Y. Chang, Sr. and Harriet Kulamanu Laumauna Chang in Wailuku, Maui. Edward is survived by his five children: Keiki (Clem) Kawai'ae'a, Puena (Stan) Keolanui, Lani (Randy) Garcia, Edward III (Rebecca) Chang, and Momi (Dutch) Hunter; 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and 3 sisters: Helaine Chock, Norma Lei Noland, and Luella Crutcher. Penny was born in 1933 to Dorothy and DeForest Anthony in Fall River, Massachusetts, where she grew up before studying at Radcliffe College, graduating in 1955. Helen married Dr. William "Bill" James of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a 1954 graduate of Harvard University. They moved to Maui in 1970 and built their lives in Makawao.
