Green Room event to celebrate language

The Merwin Conservancy's first Green Room event of the year will celebrate the Hawaiian language with live performances and the partial screening of the documentary "Language Matters."The event will begin at 7 p.m. Feb. 19 at McCoy Studio Theater at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center in Kahului and will also include a panel discussion featuring the film's host, Bob Holman, a leader of the spoken word poetry movement.
