Wailuku woman killed in Kahului collision identified

A pedestrian who was struck and killed Wednesday night on Kaahumanu Avenue in Kahului has been identified as Lynette Kealoha, 61, of Wailuku. The collision occurred at about 9:43 p.m. as Kealoha was walking north across Kaahumanu Avenue outside a marked crosswalk, according to the Maui Police Department. Police said Kealoha was struck by a 2013 Chevrolet Equinox traveling east in the inner lane near the intersection with South Wakea Avenue. Kealoha was pronounced dead at the scene.
