A man collapsed on the beach at Kanaha Beach Park on Monday afternoon after windsurfing and had to be revived, the Fire Department said.

The man was found unresponsive, not breathing and without a pulse, the Fire Department said. Firefighters and ocean safety officers responded to the call at 3:19 p.m. They performed CPR and defibrillation and managed to get a pulse back. The man became responsive but was not alert.

The man, whose age and place of residence was not known, was transported to the hospital. The Fire Department did not know that man’s status Monday afternoon or what caused the man to collapse.
