Las Vegas woman arrested at hotel
Bail was set at $60,000 for a Las Vegas woman who was arrested Tuesday after she used another woman’s credit card to check into a Kahului hotel.
Victoria Thomas, 24, was charged with two counts of second-degree theft, fraudulent use of a credit card, unauthorized possession of confidential personal information, fraudulent encoding of a credit card and use of a computer in the commission of a separate crime.
She was arrested at 11:38 p.m. after a Missouri woman who hasn’t been to Hawaii reported her credit card had been used without her authorization at the Courtyard by Marriott Maui Kahului Airport in Kahului, according to police.
After learning that Thomas had used the credit card to check into the hotel Monday morning, police officers went to her room and arrested her, police said.
