A resident of Roselani Place in Kahului has tested positive for COVID-19, the senior assisted living facility announced Monday.
The resident is in isolation and should be finished with quarantine next week, Roselani Place said.
Another resident’s test result was pending verification.
Since Jan. 11, the facility has had five confirmed cases among staff. All have now been released from quarantine, with no active cases as of Monday.
With six positive cases out of 434 total tests of staff and residents, the facility’s positivity rate is now 1.38 percent, Roselani said. The facility still had 19 tests pending from Monday, but all were presumptive negative and awaiting confirmatory results from PCR testing.
Residents will continue to be tested once a week, and staff will be tested every four to five days. Phase II visitation by families and guests will have to be put on hold until the facility is back to zero active cases, Roselani said.
The next scheduled vaccination clinic for Roselani is scheduled for Thursday and will provide a second round of the Moderna vaccine.
